पाई की कीमत के बारे में इसकी खोज करने में, इसका उत्तर ढूंढने में इस दुनिया में कई सारे क्रिप्टो के विशेषज्ञ लगे हैं। हालांकि, भविष्य देखने के लिए और सटीक परिणाम जानने के लिए आप ही तरह बाकी सभी लोगों के पास कोई जादुई तिलिस्मी क्रिस्टल बॉल या कांच का गोला उपलब्ध नहीं है। अगर होता तो उसमें भी एक बार जरूर देख लेते।

अब एक ओर - लोग कह रहे हैं कि पाई की कीमत 0 है तो दूसरी ओर कुछ लोग कह रहे हैं कि यह $3लाख 14हजार, 159 डॉलर  है; और ये दोनों आंकड़े के बीच में बहुत सारे अनगिनत लोग ये सोच रहे हैं -की - तो भाई, अभी एक पाई की कौन की कीमत हम गिनें ?

आपको भी लगता यही लगता होगा, क्योकि सच्चाई अभी यही है। 

इसमें प्रत्येक पायोनियर की अपनी एक अलग कहानी है जिसकी वजह से उसने अपने दिमाग में पाई की कीमत की एक अलग संख्या तय की रखी है। उदाहरण के तौर पर - एक व्यक्ति जिसने 2 वर्षों में 3000 से ज्यादा पाई का माइनिंग किया है और पाई अभी तक वॉलेट में नहीं आए उनके विचार दूसरे पायोनियर से अलग है जिनके पास वॉलेट में ३००० पाई है । प्रत्येक पायोनियर की स्थिति इस तरह भिन्न भिन्न होने के कारण, वे लोग पाई के मूल्य को अपने नजरिए से देखते हैं और मानते भी है।

तो पाई के बदले में वस्तुओं और सेवाओं का व्यापार करते समय पाई की कीमत प्रत्येक लेनदेन में अलग अलग होती है । ऐसा इसलिए है क्योंकि न तो अभी पाई की कोई मार्केटवेलयु  है और न ही अभी यह किसी एक्सचेंज पर लिस्टेड है। तो लोग आपस में एक दूसरे को मिल कर - ऑफलाइन - बार्टर सिस्टम से पाई से लेन देन कर रहे हैं। 

इसमें GCV यानि एक पाई की $314159 डॉलर वाले रेट का महत्त्व बढ़ जाता है। अब सामान बेचने वाला अगर पाई का भविष्य देखते हुए इस GCV की कीमत पर प्रोडक्ट बेचने को तैयार हो जाता है तो तो खरीदने वाले तुरंत मिल जाते हैं। क्योंकि खरीदने वाले वो नहीं देखते की उनके पास कितने कम या ज्यादा पाई है। वो तो इस GCV वाली कीमत से आकर्षित हो जाते हैं कहो इतने लालायित हो जाते हैं की मन करता है चलो पाई से कुछ खरीदें। हाँ। भाई ये कीमत पर तो आप भी खरीदेंगे - इंडिया में कोई वेंडर, कोई मर्चेंट या व्यापारी - कोई भी प्रोडक्ट बेचने के लिए तैयार होना चाहिए बस। है न ?

तो इसलिए ये वेल्यू बहुत अधिक हलकी है और लेनदेन का मूल्य तो इत्तु सा, छोटा, यानि नगण्य लगता है। परन्तु, क्या आप उस वैल्यूएशन पर घर खरीद सकते हैं? और गाड़ी ? नहीं, अभी तो यह बिलकुल असंभव है। यहां तक कि एक डीलर को या बेचनेवाले सेलर विक्रेता को ढूंढना भी एक बहोत बड़ी चुनौती होगी - लेकिन अगर आपको पाई के लिए घर या गाड़ी बेचने वाला कोई मिल जाए, तो वो शायद हजारों या लाखों पाई की मांग करेंगे।

तो पाई की कीमत क्या है ? उसके बारे में तीन पॉइंट बिलकुल क्लियर है। 

(१) पहला - पाई का कोई बाजार मूल्य नहीं है। यानि किसी एक्सचेंज पर लिस्टेड न होने की वजह से कुछ लोग इसकी कीमत जीरो मानेंगे। या मानते हैं।  

(२) दूसरा पॉइंट - पाई की कीमत $314159 डॉलर है। परन्तु इसके लिए वहां जाना पड़ेगा जहाँ वेंडर्स ये कीमत पर गुड्स एंड सर्विसिस ऑफर कर रहे हैं। अभी तक चाइना, विएतनाम और नाइजीरिया में ये देखा गया है। परन्तु इंडिया में - अभी तक इस GCV वाली कीमत पर प्रोडक्ट या सर्विस ऑफर करने के लिए कोई भी वेंडर , मर्चेंट या व्यापारी अभी तक सामने नहीं आया है। तो इंडिया में अभी ये GCV वाली कीमत इतनी दिखाई नहीं देती है - बोले तो इतनी प्रमोट नहीं हो रही है जितनी चाइना में हो रही है।
